USING GIF-O

How do I get my animation off the machine?

Connect to WiFi and hit “save” when you’re inside a project. This will generate a QR code that will prompt a download. 


How do I go back and delete a frame?

Twist the scrub dial located next to the delete key. Once you have scrubbed back to selected frame, hit delete. Make sure to scrub back to the current frame (the frame will turn from white to red) to continue shooting.


Can I go back and insert a frame?

No. The machine was intentionally designed without this feature in order to emphasize simplicity and to keep the focus on moving forward and having fun, not getting hung up on details.


Can anyone go and edit my project?

Yes, anyone can go back into a project and add frames or delete frames. While this doesn’t usually happen, it is important to upload your project at the conclusion of each working session. Download it on your phone or computer for safekeeping.


How long can an animation be?

Each project can be up to 360 frames, or 30 seconds.


What age is Gif-O-Graf for?

The Gif-O-Graf is designed for all ages and all brain types.

How much memory does a GIF-O-GRAF have?

The machine will hold ~100-200 animations, depending on the length. We recommend uploading and deleting projects every couple of weeks.


What type of file does Gif-O-Graf create?

All files are exported as an .mp4


Where is the GIF-O-GRAF made?

The Gif-O-Graf is designed, engineered, and assembled in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Sheet metal parts are machined, powder coated, and screenprinted in southern New Hampshire, buttons are manufactured in Washington state, circuit boards are made in Shenzen, China, and displays and cables come from various vendors in Asia.



TROUBLE SHOOTING

What happens if the machine freezes?

Have no fear! Simply turn the machine off, let it sit for a moment, and turn it back on. Your project will not be lost.


How long does my project stay on the machine?

Projects stay on the machine until they are deleted. Learn about deleting projects here.

How much does a GIF-O-GRAF cost?
